Big Bear Photo Shoot

We started off at 10:30 from Studio City to Big Bear and made it for lunch by 1 p.m. and we were pretty hungry.  The best part about this trip was that we all brought a picnic to share, it was amazingly delicious.  Yvonne cooked some large artichokes with Paul Newman's Cesare dressing, yummy and some Trader Joe's delicious fresh bread, home made potato salad and lovely cheese.

I picked up a salad from Gelson's, brie cheese and tuna salad, of course Yvonne brought her favorite McMurry Pinot Noir which was lovely except that I had car sickness by the time we got there, since the road was so rough.  Thank God Larry has a truck and we could all rough it, talk about roughing it with these City girls... we don't go camping.  Oh I almost forgot to tell you Yvonne was walking like a little old lady from Beverly Hillbillies, since she moved a pot in her garden.  No more working out for you young lady.  She is now going to wait for that young gardener to help her out..

After a delicious luncheon we were ready to go hiking, I didn't realize that Larry was serious about hiking, I should have worn my hiking shoes, but instead I wore my comfortable old fashioned boots, sexy torn jeans and a shirt I love to sleep in just in case my friends wished to photograph me.  I know this shoot was not about me, but rather the trees and leaves, but I am the Contessa and I haven't been photographed in three days, so it was over due.  When Larry shoots me, he always captures me in the best light, weather I am on the ground covered in leaves or wearing nothing at all or hugging a tree which was nice, but it didn't look good on camera...

I had fun shooting Yvonne Beecham and then the lovely trees changing colors and brought home some old wood to integrate into my next mixed media art.  I can't believe I got some amazing shots of Yvonne and she is pleased, so I think I have a chance of pursuing a career in photography, since I love being creative.  I heard I have a good eye.

Being in nature was healing and almost forgot there was silence and we were in aw...

My favorite photo with the clouds and the tree, this was magical.

When I got home I had a terrible headache from the altitude and the winding roads, should have brought my Advil with me, but I took it as soon I walked in the door.  Then ate a light dinner and took a delicious bubble bath while eating some healthy vegan cheese cake, so yummy and a perfect way to end the day... Thank you to my special friends for making it so much fun.... until next time.
